Ancient Egyptian kohl pot and lid from Abydos dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Black serpentine Kohl pot and lid. Carinated pot with broad flat circular neck with a small hole in the centre. The lid is roughly circular, though a litle smaller than the vessel, with a raised tang in the centre for keying into the vessel’s neck.
