Ancient Egyptian cotton fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated 200 BC – AD 300

Five fragments of cotton coated with a black substance, possibly resin. There is a circle which has a hemmed edge, a rectangle which is folded and sewn and maybe a bag and three plaited lengths.

C binding along top edge base circle 7.7 diam; similar C w.2 (detached) broken Zply sewing; with them, quiver strip 6-plait, 6 threads each unit
