Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated 30 BC – AD 395

A strip of brown textile broken into two. Brown with red plait on seam. Notes suggest 1/2 twill, however this has been queried. Looks to be tabby.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
