Supporting material glass lantern slide from Nubia Sudan dated AD 1900s

Lantern Slide with black and white photograph showing two male children, holding one wooden log each. Both boys are nude except for their turbans. Both are standing on what appears to be a bank of a Nile island. A very tall stone wall is directly on the waterfront, touched by water, and the boys are stood on the sand beds just outside the building. If this photograph was taken just after the erection of the Great Dam at Aswan, it is possible that the location of this scene shows the walls of the Isis Temple at Philae, which was flooded during the fillinf up of the first reservoir. The other Nile bank is visible: flat, fertile land with some palm trees and in the very far distance some hills can be seen.
