Ancient Egyptian Imhotep figurine dated 664 – 332 BC

A bronze figurine of Imhotep, shown as a seated man wearing a close fitting cap, broad collar, and high waisted pleated kilt. The whites of the eyes are inlaid with gold leaf and the cap is detailed on the brow band as a cap crown. There is an unrolled papyrus between his hands. The two lines of inscription on the scroll are illegible. The front of base, now sunk into modern mount, may also be inscribed.
