Ancient Egyptian hawk figurine from Saqqara dated 664 – 332 BC

Statue of standing hawk, Horus, originally carved in one piece of soft white limestone with traces of paint remaining and gilding. On flat rectangular base with 3 metal spars through base into bird and hidden with plaster to strengthen it. Statue patched with plaster owing to softness of stone.
