Ancient Egyptian offering stand and tray from Saqqara dated 664 – 332 BC

Offering or incense stand with flaring base and stem and with separate circular tray on top, tray with tenon to fit onto stand. With demotic inscription on exterior of flaring base. Hammered bronze. Chased inscription around base of 4 lines and traces of others, reading: “Before Osiris-Apis, the great god…Pa…,son of Thotertais whose mother is Ta…the ram, Lord of Mendes, the great god…”
