Ancient Egyptian figurine base from Saqqara dated 700 – 200 BC

Rectangular wooden block, cut in at an angle at one end to form a wedge shaped front. Two square holes for base tangs, possibly from a striding figure, on the diagonal. Several knots and pits in the wood. But traces of plaster on one edge, suggest that it might have been filled in.
