Ancient Egyptian sealing fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Irregular shaped mud fragment, with part of two oval seal impressions, each on on a different surface. Each contains a hieroglyphic inscription, though in the one only the top sign remains. The lower surface bears the impression of a piece of cord. The better intact seal impression has a sun’s disc with uraei above a seated figure which is holding an ankh symbol and wearing the khepresh crown and ureaus. In front of that figure is a ‘nfr’ hieroglyph. The less well preserved impression has a sun’s disc and uraei.
