Ancient Egyptian tile fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Roughly square blue or green faience tile or plaque fragment. Glazed and moulded on the upper surface, unglazed on the lower surface. Upper face has two moulded parallel lines a little way in fom one edge, probably making this one of the original edge and then a wider moulded band running parallel with them, from which two further bands run at right angles. This is possibly the edge of the hieroglyph s or sh.
