Circular orange brown pottery mould, for making a faience head of a head. The depression is marked with facial features, eyes, nose, mouth and ears, and with a hairline across the top of the head. This would have been used in conjunction with mould to impress the back of the head, if part of a figurine, or alone if a flat backed inlay piece. Traces of yellow powder in the mould possibly from faience. Traces of pink rubbe’ from modern cast made of the mould.
