Ancient Egyptian stamp dated 1550 – 1069 BC

A wooden stamp with a handle on the back. The fIeld of the stamp is incised as two cartouches. One contains a standing figure of Ptah, facing left and holding a was sceptre; the other contains a hieroglyphic inscription reading “Rennutet, mistress of food”. Comparable limestone stamp in Bolton excavated at Amarna, BOLMG: 1927.33.12.
