Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Hawara or Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

A length of plain woven woollen cloth with yellow wool warps, S twist, and matching coloured weft. One edge has a thick selvedge where two warps are each composed of six threads.
There are ten warps per centimetre.
