Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Hawara or Illahun dated AD 395 – 642 A blue woollen fragment woth ecru linen embroidery. Plain woven with part of a repeating diamond design. There are 12 warps and wefts per centimetre. The linen threads are two ply.
