Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Hawara or Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

A red woven woollen fragment with an ecru linen woven geometric design. Long linen float threads on the reverse side. Thick selvedge along each side of each fragment.
Plain woven ground, warp and weft threads are in pairs. there are 12 warp and weft threads per centimetre.
