Ancient Egyptian hair net from Hawara or Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

Woollen sprang hair net woven in red with yellow wools forming repeating designs down each side. The body of the sprang weave is very simple with a large raised diamond design remains of plaited threads along opening edge.
