Copper alloy rim for an inlay left eye. Made as one piece, it is roughly oval in shape, peaking at the tearduct and the opposite side of the eye. The metal is tarnished and corroded in patches. There is a fine split in the rim near to the edge. The internal edge of the piece contains the remains of white plaster, which possibly held the inlay pieces in place or is fragments of the white inlay itself. There are also traces of gold leaf on the back of the metal rim, over patches of plaster.
