Ancient Egyptian jar from Matmar dated 2494 – 2345 BC A pottery jar, ovaloid body with a rounded base and a short neck with a flaring modelled rim. There is an incised potmark, an nfr sign, on the shoulder. There is self slip on the interior and exterior.
