Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Matmar dated AD 395 – 642

Portion of woollen tapestry woven band on fragment of brown tunic. The centre of the band is a design of animal and plant forms in red, green and yellow within dark blue lines. Beyond this are lines of yellow and red, with a crested border.
