Ancient Egyptian wool from Mosteggedda dated 30 BC – AD 395

Woollen strands knotted together and bound round outer robe and covering of head. Red, green and blue, colours very pure and brilliant. They are probably the rovings from which the yarns required for tapestry weaving were spun.
