Ancient Egyptian linen fragments from Mostagedda dated 4400 – 4000 BC Small fragments of linen, much decomposed. They have a plain, fairly close weave of doubled hard twisted yarn. Bits of reed matting adhering. Fibre type C, not well prepared.
