Ancient Egyptian linen from Mostagedda dated 5300 – 3000 BC Many fragments of linen with a very regular open Badarian type of weave. The yarns are hard twisted and mostly single. Selvedge is shown on many of the fragments. The structure and texture are well preserved. Fibre type C, fairly well cleaned.
