Ancient Egyptian linen fragments from Mostagedda dated 1773 – 1550 BC

Fragments of linen in a thick pad of very irregularly woven fabric. The yarns are hard twisted, doubled and of variable diameter. The warps are looped along one border, too decomposed to be dissected. Fibre type C, not well cleaned, surface pustulated.
