Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

A brown woollen cloth fragment with a tapestry woven panel in purple wool with natural coloured flax stitching. In the centre of the designis a male figure, kneeling, holding what appears to be a bow, with arrows on the back.
