Ancient Egyptian linen fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

A fragment of linen fabric. The weft threads are irregularly spaced, from two to twelve being closely woven, a space separating these dense threads. The weaving in general is very irregular. Plain woven with coloured stripes missing.
