Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

Woollen, fine. Colour brown with a purple stripe (38mm wide), and two lines decorative stitching in purple wool. Two lines of decorative pattern on one side of the stripe, and one line on the other side, stitched on half the length of the piece.
