Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

Woollen, fine. Two edges of piece of cloth which have been ‘over-sewn’ with doubled yellow wool and tied in a knot. Dark blue fringe has been sewn on to one strip. Length of yellow woollen yarn attached.
