Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

Wollen fabric piece of textile, roughly square (one corner missing). Warp yellow, weft in green and yellow stripes, the green embroidered with undied flax in squares and ovals enclosing a cross device. Part of the two central green stripes slightly discoloured.
