Ancient Egyptian shell from Faiyum dated 5300 – 3000 BC

Large shell. One side of a freshwater bivalve, Unionacea, possibly, unionidae. Edge away from the valve is chipped, perhaps intentionally for making beads. Mother of pearl interior still remains.
