Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Badari dated AD 395 – after 642

Arab blue and yellow woollen cloth with white iris floral tapestry border in undyed wool. Edge corded and fringed. Weave is a weft faced tabby with tapestry. One selvedge with a fringe of loops of plied thread. Unusual colours. Tunic fragment.
