Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Oxyrhynchus dated AD 395 – 642

A fragment of tapestry woven border, two birds in flight, leaves and so on in green, red and deep purple wools and undyed flax. Purple border with white lines down the long sides. One bird is green, the other is purple and white.
There are 11 warps per centimetre. Warps are of red dyed wool.
