Ancient Egyptian sherd from Oxyrhynchus dated 30 BC – AD 395

Irregular shaped sherd of yellow, black, blue, green and purple glass. The different coloured glasses have been trailed together to create a random marbled effect. The sherd is curved in two directions, so that the cross section resembles an S.
