Ancient Egyptian sherd from Oxyrhynchus dated 30 BC – AD 395

Irregular shaped sherd of blue and yellow glass. Possibly part of a cylinder as the outer surface is curved. Fine trails of yellow glass have been drawn into rows of peaks on the outer surface of the glass. The internal surface has traces of sand adhering it. Part of a core formed bottle, perhaps for perfume. The outer surface has decayed.
