Ancient Egyptian metal fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Thin strip of copper alloy, looped around on itself. Described as plaited ribbon in the original accession list, but there is no evidence of a plait, merely twisting. The item has been treated at some point, and so it is possibly that it became but this seems unlikely.
