Degraded faience wing from a scarab (part of a set with 21.23.8.g,.h). From the scarab’s left hand side. Flat backed, with incised/moulded decoration on the front surface, showing three rows of feathers. The section that abutted the scarab is curved to mirror the scarab’s body contour. Two holes pass from the back to the side of the piece, one in the middle of the curved edge that would abut the scarab, and one towards the end of the upper wing edge. These enabled the item to be sewn to mummy. Patches of the blue glaze remain.
