Ancient Egyptian Hapi amulet from Qaw el Kibir dated 380 – 343 BC

Degraded blue faience amulet of Hapi, the baboon headed member of the four sons of Horus. Shown mummiform in profile, holding a long folded cloth in front of him. Hole through top of head and back, and base of feet and back to allow attachment to the wrappings. Patches of the blue glazed surface remian, and there is mottled discoloration. Patches of modern paper and glue adhere to the back of the piece.
