Ancient Egyptian duck bowl from Qaw el Kibir dated 1295 – 1186 BC

Base of large ivory duck cosmetic dish. Shallow dish carved on exterior as trussed duck. On one side of exterior is preserved the cut off wing and carved webbed foot and leg. On the other side part of the carved webbed foot remains. Originally a fine example of its type.
