Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Antinoe dated AD 395 – 642

Fragment of red wool cloth, some of the warps in parallel. Two bands of zigzag lines in black along border. Plain weave, loosely woven. There are twelve warps per centimetre, very even, and 21 wefts per centimetre, S twist, very lightly twisted.
