Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Antinoe dated AD 395 – 642

Woollen cloth in blue and white striped pattern. Plain weave stripe. Double threaded warp. There are five warps per centimetre. Occasionally only a single thread is used. There are 26 wefts per centimetre. Each stripe varies between 10-16 wefts.
