Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Antinoe dated AD 395 – 642

Woollen fabric. Warp greenish, weft light red with deep blue stripes. Plain weave in stripes. There are 12 warps per centimetre – green, and 20 wefts per centimetre – red and blue stripes. There are ten wefts per centimetre – tan coloured area.
