Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Antinoe dated AD 395 – 642

Triangular fragment of woollen fabric, dyed blue, one edge sewn over. Plain weave. Selvedge on one side. There are 14 warps per centimetre. The weft thread passes over four warps to form a slight ridge along the selvedge.
