Ancient Egyptian grindstone from Abydos dated 5300 – 3000 BC Pottery grindstone. Potsherd with hole drilled through centre, perhaps all once roughly circular in shape but now only fragments. Large, and of fired marl clay only the edge of the cental hole is visible.
