Ancient Egyptian lamp from Abydos dated 30 BC – AD 395

Small pottery oil lamp roughly oval in shape, appears to have been made in two parts and smoothed together around its longitudinal axis. Impressed decoration on upper surface, square with bumps at each corner around the central hole. On base two circles. Evidence of burning around a second hole at apex of a spout.
