Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Illahun dated AD 395 – 642 Portion of blue woollen tunic with woven bands in red and green wool and undyed flax, stitched to the edge of the garment. Blue ground cloth finely plain woven. The bands, appliquéd, have the design woven into structure.
