Ancient Egyptian tunic sleeve from Illahun dated AD 395 – 642

End of sleeve from linen tunic with band of flower buds tapestry woven in red, purple and yellow wools, with plain purple line borders. The sleeve end has a band 40mm wide, woven in dark blue wool and undyed flax thread, stitched with flax thread to the sleeve. Details from Midgley notes.
Sleeve conserved, secured onto net and mounted on a calico covered cylinder in a wooden box.
