Ancient Egyptian ivory fitting from Mazguneh dated 30 BC – AD 395

Two parts from a cylindrical ivory fitting, currently tied together with modern thread. The fitting, is hollow, with a central hole through the length of the piece and a small central hole through the width. The piece narrows just before either end then widens back out again. There is a small raised ridge where the piece narrows, and an incised line near to the each end. There are two incised lines to one side of the hole through the width, probably for decoration.
