Ancient Egyptian jar from Girza dated 3500 – 3200 BC

Red pottery jar with horizontal ledge handles. Ovaloid body with flat base. Wavy handle on either side, handles applied and edge pinched with fingers. Short neck wih flared, rounded rim. Base cut to shape, body trimmed with tool from below shoulder. Filled with mud.
