Ancient Egyptian wreath fragments from Hawara dated 30 BC – AD 395

Remains of three funerary garlands, one in two pieces, fixed to a piece of modern blue card. Appear to have papyrus stem, around which has been placed palm fibre or reeds, and then overbound with grasses which have held flowers in place. Most of flowers are probably now absent, but a few sprigs remain. There is also a large leaf, possibly willow, or withania nightshade.
