Ancient Egyptian hair pin from Hawara dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Bone or ivory hair pin. Cylindrical shaft tapering to a point. The head of the pin has six regular turned lines close together and then the pin narrows, from which it spreads out again into an elongated spherical head.
