Ancient Egyptian figurine from Naukratis dated 599 – 500 BC

Solid pinkish pottery head from a figurine, broken at neck. Crudely modelled nose and large ears. Traces that the eyes and hairline painted on in black line, as were two bands round the neck, which could be necklaces or a dress edge, and three bands on the headdress. The headdress is fan shaped and rises above the head. It is decorated with three black bands, fairly regularly spaced up the headdress.
